First Time Homebuyers
You may qualify for a first-time homebuyer program if you meet one of the following criteria:
- You have not had an ownership interest in your primary residence in the last three years.
- You are an honorably discharged veteran.
- You are purchasing a home in a target area.

Down Payment Assistance
If you’re a homebuyer, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has two programs that may help make the process more affordable.
Our counselors will help you navigate this program, fill out the necessary paperwork and get you qualified for these federal funds.
How To Apply
Applying to our program is easy. Every qualified applicant will be assigned a housing counselor and realtor who will helping them obtaining homeownership.

Book an initial consultation with our housing counselor

Applicants must supply accurate background, income and family member information to a qualified Affordable Housing Ohio, Inc counselor. We will verify all information, including social security, wage data and criminal records.

A 2-hour meeting is booked with our housing counselor to gain insight on your financial goals and your investment readiness.

Affordable Housing Ohio, Inc is committed to education the central ohio community on home ownership and sustainability.
Housing Maintenance
Understand how to maintain your newly purchased property. Keep your home in good condition to secure your investment.
Financial Literacy
Do you want to manage your finances better? Gain smart money habit with our Financial Literacy Workshop.
These sessions will give you a good understanding about where you stand financially, plus simple ways to make measureable progress toward your financial goals.
First Time Homebuyers
Our counselors will walk you through what to expect from the homebuying experience. we will help you get organized and ready to search for your first home.
Credit Counseling
A housing counselor will teach you how to read your credit report, develop a relationship with a bank, develop a household budget, and create an action plan to improve your credit store and establish savings.
Additional Sessions maybe recommended in this stage depending upon your need.
